A FAMILY VISIT TO PARIS AT THE HOTEL AIGLON

Paris is THE capital of art and culture, with more than 2,000 museums and other attractions. With around twenty public green spaces, the city is also the ideal vacation spot for the whole family. There are many places to take your little ones in the 14th arrondissement as well as throughout Paris.

The Paris Museum Pass

The Hotel Aiglon offers the Paris Museum Pass. When making a reservation on our website, you can book this pass for €48 per person. The Paris Museum Pass guarantees you unlimited access for 2 days to 60 museums and major Parisian monuments. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit the tourist hotspots and cultural attractions of Paris.

Among the museums of Paris, you can discover the Musée du Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie and the Musée Rodin.

In the Rodin Museum you’ll find the works and collections of the great artist Auguste Rodin. A second Rodin Museum has opened in Meudon. Discover the place of residence of the legendary sculptor and see most of his significant artistic creations as well as the garden where he is buried.

Another famous artist who was once a resident of Montparnasse was Pablo Picasso and the Picasso Museum is accessible thanks to the Paris Museum Pass. Housed in the Hôtel Salé, the museum has 245 paintings by the Spanish artist, some 43 paintings by masters he admired, including Cézanne and Rousseau, from his personal collection, as well as works by his friends Modigliani, Braque and Matisse.

Among the Parisian monuments accessible with the Paris Museum Pass are the Panthéon, the Arc de Triomphe, the Sainte-Chapelle, the Conciergerie and the Pompidou Centre.
This list of museums and monuments is certainly not exhaustive.

The parks and gardens around our family hotel in Paris

The Hotel Aiglon is surrounded by green public parks, gardens and numerous squares.

Jardin du Luxembourg
One of the most famous gardens in Paris, the Jardin du Luxembourg was created in 1612 at the behest of the widowed regent Queen Marie de Medici, who had left the Louvre to settle in the Palais du Luxembourg following the assassination of Henri IV.
The garden, with its 21 hectares of flora and fauna, is open to the public. As you stroll around, you’ll see 106 statues and the exquisitely beautiful Medici Fountain.

Parc Montsouris
The Parc Montsouris is a large green space located in the south of the 14th arrondissement of Paris. It is an English-style landscaped park and so embraces a certain degree of irregularity. Here you can admire the beauty of nature relatively unconstrained by the restrictions of design. This is unlike French-style parks, where symmetry, rigor and thoroughness are key to the look.
Our family hotel in Paris is also within easy reach of the Jardin Atlantique and the Jardin de l'Observatoire de Paris, situated about ten minutes away on foot.

For shopping in Paris

Le Bon Marché and La Grande Épicerie de Paris

If you feel in the mood for a shopping spree, you’ll be pleased to know that Le Bon Marché and La Grande Épicerie de Paris are a 15-minute walk away.

At Bon Marché you will find luxury fashion products for men and women, a décor department, a beauty department and more. Founded in 1852 by Aristide Boucicaut, Le Bon Marché reinvented the business model of the period by using reduced margins, fixed prices, home delivery, item exchange and sales. Following a takeover by the LVMH Group in 1984, Bernard Arnault repositioned the store's image. Combining modernity and tradition, Le Bon Marché remains a high-end, chic Parisian department store.

Head to the Grande Épicerie de Paris if you’re looking for the finest food products from all over the world. You’ll also find a floor reserved for wines and spirits.

A little closer to our family hotel in Paris is the Centre Commercial Montparnasse Rive Gauche, a shopping mall you can get to in 10 minutes on foot. Inaugurated in 1972, this retail wonderland is located at the foot of the Montparnasse Tower and brings together many ready-to-wear, jewellery, perfume and leather goods brands plus much more, all under one roof.
